FAQs

FAQs

Where Does NWYF Happen?

At the Eureka Center in Sagle, Idaho. It's a private heaven on 42 pristine acres, situated amongst the finest skiing, fishing, boating, mountain biking, and hiking that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. The Center's beautifully wooded landscape has many trails and meadows, a bountiful garden, an outdoor amphitheater with stage, a large covered outdoor picnic/gathering area, a labyrinth, a even an 18 hole disc golf course for those with a competitive spirit! It is centrally located in the northwest approximately 9 hours from Portland, 6 hours from Seattle, 1 1/2 hours from Spokane, 4 hours from Missoula and 3 1/2 hours from Nelson, British Columbia.

Who Organizes NWYF?

We're a small team of food enthusiasts, yoga lovers, music enjoyers, and artistic souls. We're very much a grassroots organization! The event is made possible by the Eureka Institute, whose mission is to foster life-long learning and leadership through education, experiential and recreational programming.

How Old Is NWYF?

Didn't your momma teach you that it's unkind to ask someone's age? All jokes aside, we've been gathering at this event for over a decade.

Can I Volunteer?

Absolutely! Our volunteers are the heart and soul of this community and quite simply couldn't function without your help.

I Need To Cancel...

Darn, you'll be missed! We are only able to refund 50% of your registration fee up to 30 days prior to the event. After that, no refunds are given. We do however encourage you to try and sell your tickets or give them away- What goes around comes around!

Do You Discount Groups?

Absolutely- Wrangle up your Yogi friends and get in on an awesome group rate discount for your NWYF Weekend-Long Pass! A group of 4 receives 20% off each NWYF Pass. A group of 8 receives 30% off each NWYF Pass. Email us for details at info@eureka-institute.org

Are Pets Allowed?

Unfortunately, no- We kindly ask that you leave pets at home. We have an abundant wildlife population we want to respect. Another reason is that, no matter how well behaved your pet may be, some people are very intimidated by them. If you have a dog in-service, please call us and we can discuss the matter with you personally and may be able to make some special arrangements. We appreciate your understanding!

When Can I Check In/Out?

You can check in any time after 3:00pm on Friday and leave anytime after the festival on Sunday. Having said that we realize people are coming from quite a distance so if you need to show up early and/or stay late, even through Monday, we can make arrangements. If that is the case give us a call at the Eureka Center, 208-263-2217, and we can discuss the details. If you do show up early and/or stay late just bring some extra food to tide you over.

Can You Send Me Updates?

Yes! You can join our email newsletter list at the bottom of any page on this website to get periodic updates about the NWYF. We won't spam you and we don't share your information, and you're free to unsubscribe at any time.

Can A Vegetarian Attend?

You're in luck, because all of our meals are meat-free! During this event, we like to practice what we preach and encourage participants to live the yogic principle "ahimsa", meaning no harm...

What Ages Come To NWYF?

A wide variety of ages attend the event, and a wide variety of ages help organize the event, too! We believe that yoga is for everyone... and everyone is welcome!

Accommodations?

As you'll learn below, our property is primarily set up for tent camping, though there are several locations for RV/car camping without hook ups. If camping isn't your thing, we have some indoor bedroom accommodations available. Learn more further down this page.

Can I Bring My Child?

Yes! We have had children attend our event in the past.

Where Do I Charge My...

You won't have cell service when you're at the Eureka Center, but if you still need to charge your phone we can accommodate that. We also have some spotty wifi for texting. There is a land line if you have to make a call to the outside world!

What's Included?

All of the food and beverages for the weekend, camping and parking. What else is there!

Camping/Parking

Tent & RV Camping

There is plenty of tent camping available. All of your food for the weekend is provided so no cooking will be necessary and camp stoves are not permitted due to fire danger at that time of year. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages of choice to supplement if you'd like. For groups or individuals that may be interested in one of our wall tents please contact the Eureka Institute for rates and availability. If you have an RV please contact us ahead of time so that we may reserve you a space. Hook ups are not available and generators are not allowed, so charge those batteries!

Shower Facilities

There are two exquisite outdoor showers with hot and cold running water. Water is precious so please conserve. We also have our famous "pull chain solar shower" for those that want a quick wake up! Lake Pend Orielle is only minutes away and is some of the purest waters in the Northwest. Saturday afternoon is a great time to make that run for the beach!

Directions to the Eureka Center

Directions

The Eureka Center is centrally located in the northwest and easy to get to. Technology is an incredible tool as you can see by the interactive map that Mapquest has provided us. However it does not come without it's flaws. Not all GPS systems and mapping applications have the Center in the correct location and cell service is not available at the property. Please print these directions for your journey, screenshot them on your phone, or copy/paste them as a note into your phone.

Eureka Center
6162 Eureka Rd
Sagle, ID  83860

Take Hwy 95 from either the north or south to Sagle Rd.  It is approximately 6 miles south of the Sandpoint and you will see signs directing you towards Garfield Bay.  Go east on Sage Rd for 11 miles (good idea to set odometer, bearing left at the 2 Y's along the way) until you get to Eureka Rd on the left, (more like going straight as Sagle Rd veers the right).  Go only 50 yards down Eureka Rd and we are the first driveway on the left.  Address is on the mailbox 6162.

If you need further clarification please feel free to give us a call at (208) 263-2217 and we can assist you by phone.  If you do happen to get lost, you can get cell service at either Garfield or Bottle Bay.  Make your way there and give us a call! DO NOT GET FOOLED AND GO TO OUR OFFICE LOCATION IN DOWNTOWN SANDPOINT!
